This looks like a page out of a magazine:
This is Alex's Mod Pop Quilt and includes my only nemesis: curved piecing! She did an amazing job with her fabric selections, no?
Really there isn't much else I can say except, awesome!!
Join us tomorrow: Saturday, January 19th at the Westover Library (click for map) in Arlington, VA, from 10:30- 4:30. This is a great location for a sewing day with plenty of tables and outlets. And it's right across the street from a great sandwich shop, if you are into that sort of thing :)
Some of us will be making sewing caddies together, but some aren't, and everyone is welcome!
Comment if you're coming, and let everyone know if you can bring one of the following to share:
-Rotary cutter, mat, ruler
-Iron and ironing board
-Snacks :)

I am bringing veg and dip!
ReplyDeleteI hope to make it. I've been sick all week :( I'll bring my cutting mat if I come...
ReplyDeleteI'll bring my cutting mat, rotary cutter (with a fresh blade), and rulers. I can also bring an iron, if someone else can bring the ironing board.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I volunteer Alex to show us how she did the curved piecing on the Mod Pops - I LOVE that quilt, and totally agree - her fabrics are spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI'm coming and I can bring snacks! I also have a spare rotary cutter to share.
ReplyDeleteDo we all bring our own extension cords and power strips? Do we need them? Sorry...first timer, but looking forward to sewing with you guys!
So glad you are joining us! The room where we meet has tables with built-in outlets, so no need for extra cords or strips.
DeleteSee you tomorrow!
I likely won't make it :( I've had a nasty case of the flu and have missed work all week. If I do come I can bring an ironing board. Crossing my fingers for a miraculous recovery!
ReplyDeleteOh, hope you feel better really soon!
DeleteI won't be there, I'm so sorry to miss you all! I'm heading to CT tonight for a baby shower...I'm the godmother-to-be! Eventually, I'll be making a baby quilt for baby boy!
ReplyDeletei will 90% be there. i would commit to bringing things, but i'm sure i'll end up forgetting. so let's hope i remember my machine, project, scissors, rotary cutter, and mat.
ReplyDeleteI'm coming! This will be my first meeting! I'll have a mat, cutter, at least one ruler and an iron- anyone who needs to use them is more than welcome. I've been trying to make one of these meetings for over a year so I'm definitely looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a year to get to my first meeting, too!
DeleteI am coming!! I will bring an ironing board with my brand new cover I just bought today at Marshalls! :)
ReplyDeleteI will be there as well, though I'll be working on my own project and not the caddy. I'll be bringing my cutting mat, a rotary cutter, a couple of rulers, and an iron. Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely coming! I'll bring supplies for cutting. Can't wait to see y'all!
ReplyDeleteI'll be there! cutter and ruler and mat in hand. Probably snacks too!
ReplyDeletei'll be there! i'll bring another ironing board. i'm excited to make it to my first meeting!
ReplyDeleteI will also be coming to my very first meeting. I will be bringing my mat, rotary cutter, and ruler. There may be snacks as well, but no promises.
ReplyDeleteMe too I am getting ready right now. How did I miss this post last evening? Hope you have room for all these quilters! I am going to work on my Madrone Road Challenge project.
ReplyDeleteI typed up the list of blogs and social media contact info from the meeting yesterday! What email should I send them to?
