Block Raffle for our OCTOBER meeting!

Hi all!

We are trying out a new swap format for the October 19th meeting, and I want to give you a chance to prepare ahead, so here's the deets:

We will be doing a Block Raffle this time- how it works is, you make a block (or more if you want) using the following instructions and bring it along to the meeting.  For every block you contribute, you get one raffle ticket.  Then we have a drawing, and the lucky winner gets to take home ALL the blocks!  (If we get tons of blocks, we might break them into two lots for two winners.)  Sound fun?

At the August meeting we decided to make 12.5" wonky stars with a color palette of navy and white with a pop of bright color.  For consistency, let's all follow this tutorial from the Silly BooDilly.

You can use a white or navy background, solids and/or prints, scrappy or controlled.  Make them unique to you!
Remember, the more blocks you make, the greater your chance of winning!!

Since we have used up our allotted number of meetings in the Arlington Library system, this meeting will be held in a new location:

John Marshall Library (in Rose Hill)
6209 Rose Hill Drive
Alexandria, VA 22310-6299

10:30 am -4:30 pm

See you there!
