Meeting This Saturday

Hi All!

Just a quick reminder that we'll be meeting this Saturday at the Shaw Library from 1-4.  We're having a swap meet/ destash, so bring fabric (and books, and notions) that you'd like to trade, barter, or sell. This idea came about when Melinda remarked that it's unfortunate that when ordering online, the minimum cut is often 1/2 yard, when all you might want is a fat quarter or less.  So, why not trade the excess with each other! And please bring small bills and change to make the trading go smoothly.

We'll also have show and tell and feel free to bring hand work and snacks, or even your machine if you are so inclined.

See you there!

Jessie

PS We'll have another scrap dump, where we bring unwanted scraps and let everyone pick through for free, later in the year.
This swap is for the "good stuff!"

  1. This sounds like so much fun, I'm sorry to miss the meeting this month (I'll be cheering my boy on in his all-star soccer tournament). I wanted to let everyone know that my mother in law is a member of Quilters Unlimited and they're hosting Tula Pink on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the NOVA Annandale campus. Tickets for non-QU members are $5 and include refreshments (a bargain!). She gave me a bunch of flyers and I can pass them along to someone (I'll be out of town for the July meeting) or I can just bring them in August.
