In other news, you may have noticed a recent blog change. A shorthand list of upcoming meetings and field trips now appears prominently on the front page of the blog. You can still click through to the calendar, but the information about upcoming meetings is nice to have as accessible as possible.
The Board is considering a few other blog changes. We'd like to highlight more of YOU, the members. We have a lot of talent within our guild and we'd like to let that talent shine. So we are starting a new series of blog posts highlighting member tutorials and patterns. Please comment below or email dcmodquilts@gmail.com with direct links to blog tutorials or patterns that you have posted. Links to a flickr picture that goes with the post will be much appreciated. I think this series will help our newer members get to know the group and it will help our more forgetful members (that's me!) find some brilliant new techniques to use.
Lastly, I have a super late Flickr Friday picture to post. I have a soft spot for quilts in process...and I have a huge crush on all things Cotton + Steel, so this week's picture goes to Carla. She has now finished putting these blocks together and you can see that quilt top on Flickr or on IG.
